Reliable Toolhead for Multi-Material Printing

The Toolhead 1 (Left Slot) is an official Snapmaker component created for the U1’s multi-toolhead printing system. It allows the printer to operate with multiple independent extruders, enabling clean color transitions and flexible material combinations without the waste often associated with traditional filament switching systems.

Precision and Smart Calibration

Equipped with a built-in inductive sensor, this toolhead supports automatic calibration to maintain accurate nozzle positioning and consistent first layers. This ensures dependable printing performance, even when frequently switching between different toolheads during complex multi-material jobs.

Stable Performance and Long Service Life

The toolhead features a robust mechanical structure designed to withstand intensive use. Snapmaker has tested the system for up to 1,000,000 toolhead swaps, ensuring reliable operation for users who frequently switch between different tools or materials.

Optimized Extrusion and Material Compatibility

A stainless steel nozzle allows the toolhead to process a wide range of common 3D printing materials such as PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA and more. Integrated filament runout detection continuously monitors material status and pauses printing if the filament runs out, helping prevent failed prints and wasted material.

Improved Cooling for Better Print Quality

The built-in cooling fan helps regulate the hot end temperature and supports faster cooling after extrusion. This contributes to cleaner layer definition and improved overall print quality, especially when working with demanding materials or detailed models.
