Polyactid Soft is a polymer that consists, among other things, of lactic acid molecules.
PLA Soft is a special PLA type that is extremely flexible and has high impact strength. PLA Soft has an elongation at break 30 times higher than normal PLA and is an easy-to-print alternative to TPE. A heated bed is advantageous for PLA Soft Filament, but not essential.
We recommend using an air cooler when processing PLA Soft Filament. Furthermore, PLA is characterized by many times more pleasant odor properties than other plastics during processing.
As a starting material, PLA Soft is fundamentally biodegradable under special conditions. However, the final product contains pigments and additives. Because of this, the PLA Soft parts still have to be disposed of in the garbage and not in the garden. This filament meets the compositional requirements of European Regulation No. 10/2011 on plastic materials intended for food contact.

PLA soft filament or polylactide is in principle biodegradable, although certain environmental conditions are necessary for this, which can usually only be found in industrial composting plants. PLA soft does not normally decompose in nature. We therefore do not recommend composting PLA soft filament or printed parts made of PLA soft.
